The American escaped from prison to go back with food and drink

Prisoner Joshua Hansen, convicted of drug trafficking, escaped from Beaumont Prison in Texas to return soon with food and drink.

The guard detained the man when he tried to get back into the prison with a sports bag in which they found sausages, chips, fruits and several bottles of brandy, writes Beaumont enterprise.

The incident occurred on January 24 - a car drove up to the area adjacent to the Beaumont prison, from which someone threw out a large black sports bag, after which the car drove away. Nearly two hours later, guards spotted Hansen running toward the bag from the prison. He grabbed his bag and tried to go back, but was grabbed.

Fruits, snacks, chips, chicken sausages and several impressive containers of homemade food were found in the bag, as well as several bottles of alcohol and packages of tobacco.

The person who prepared this food and brought to prison has not yet been identified.

Hansen now faces an extension of the prison term.

According to Jefferson County Deputy Sheriff Marcus Maclellan, inmates at a local prison found ways to get out of the facility from day one, making their way back with smuggling.

So far, neither the police nor the Beaumont prison officials have explained how exactly the man managed to escape.
