Americans must prepare for a cold and snowy winter
The United States will face a harsh winter this year, according to an AccuWeather report.
The temperature in the states in the middle west will be 6-9 degrees colder than last winter. Minnesota and Dakota will face a one-day temperature drop to -20 ..- 30 degrees.
More storms and snowfall are expected in the northeast than usual. Basically they will be held in New York and New England. The temperature will be at 3-5 degrees lower than last winter, although with fewer frosty days.
The southeast of the country may face serious frosts at the end of January, it potentially threatens citrus crops. December will be mild. After January, storms are possible, which will become the most serious problem.
As for the southwest, expect a “dry and warm winter.” Northern California will experience storms and snow in December, and warm weather in January and February.
At this time, AccuWeather is the only one to issue a weather forecast for the winter. The National Weather Service (NWS) declined to comment on the AccuWeather forecast. Perhaps due to the fact that she herself has not yet released any forecast for the winter.
Pay attention also to other forecasts and remember that trends may change.
