In Georgia, a father beat a one-year-old son to death, while the mother did nothing

A couple from Georgia was accused of killing their one-year-old son, who, according to the investigation, was beaten to death by his father while his mother decided not to intervene.

21-year-old Akim Henderson was arrested on January 25 after his unconscious son was taken to hospital, later doctors declared him dead, writes People.

According to doctors, the child suffered serious head injuries.

The mother of the child, 20-year-old Jamie Howard, was allegedly present at the time of the beating, but she did not try to protect the boy, and also did not seek medical attention for him until he lost consciousness.

According to the investigation, Henderson hit the boy several times on the head. The blows led to multiple skull fractures and brain damage.

At first, Howard tried to hide what had happened, saying that the child had breathing problems, and so they went to the doctor.

Friends of the couple say they devoted their whole lives to raising their son King.

Aaron Beaver’s friend said the couple “put this baby on a pedestal” and that they stopped meeting friends in the evenings after the baby was born.

Henderson and Howard are in Bibb County jail.
