Actor Downey Jr. rehabilitated after 20 years

The famous Hollywood actor Robert Downey Jr., who spent 90 months in prison for various offenses in 15, was rehabilitated by California Governor Jerry Brown.

Downey Jr., who had problems with drugs, entered the list of rehabilitated California residents from 91, approved by the head of state on the eve of Christmas.

“You’ll just be on [Santa’s] naughty list if you get caught,” this is how he responded to the message about rehabilitation Robert Downey Jr on Twitterby providing the entry with the #HappyAlmostChristmas hashtag and a fun video.

The list of rehabilitated included persons who in the past had served the sentences to which they were sentenced by the court, and who were not re-prosecuted.

The speech, as clarifies The Los Angeles Times, is mainly about those convicted of minor crimes.

“Having served his sentence and demonstrated good behavior upon release, Robert John Downey Jr. has paid his debt to society and deserves full and unconditional rehabilitation,” the California governor said in his order.

Robert Downey Jr. was sentenced to three years in prison and drug treatment after he was repeatedly detained by the police.

In June 1996, a search of his truck revealed weapons, cocaine and heroin, and the actor himself was reportedly “under the influence of drugs.”

Entering into the list of those rehabilitated, signed by the governor, does not mean the removal of a criminal record, however, it makes it possible to elect a jury and apply for a number of posts in state bodies.
