In New York, a policeman died during the celebration of July 4

In New York, Independence Day was not without loss among the police. The tragedy occurred in the Bronx.

The killed officer was 48-year-old Miozotis Family, who worked for 12 for years in the New York Police. She loved her family, her three children and all who worked with her.

After the shooting, the partner, who was also in the car, turned on the radio for help to other officers. The suspect in the murder was found a block from the scene. He took out a weapon, so the officers opened fire. The wounds were fatal.

The suspect was Alexander Bonds, who has a long history of detention and even a prison sentence.

O'Neill said that the offender shot one bullet in the head of a policeman in the Fordham Heights area when her shift was nearing its end.

The murder occurred during the holiday fireworks on Independence Day.

“The city celebrated Independence Day,” Mayor Bill de Blasio said at a news conference. — One of those days that we look forward to every year. The NYPD has done an extraordinary job of keeping our city safe...and tragedy struck."

Later, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo tweeted: “I express my deepest condolences to relatives and friends. Today we all mourn one of the best in New York. ”
