US President Donald Trump announced the introduction of new security measures in the US next week (February 12-19).
He also said that the White House will continue to fight for the lifting of the judicial suspension of the immigration ban imposed by it, writes CNN.
“We will take very swift action, this concerns additional security measures for our country, you will see this next week,” the president said during a joint press conference with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
He also reaffirmed the security assurances that the United States had previously assumed for Japan.
At the meeting, Abe and Trump also discussed cooperation between countries and the situation in Asia, in particular the danger posed by North Korea.
During the speech, Trump stated that he was confident of the victory of his administration in the matter of the immigration ban.
Recall, 27 January Trump signed a decreewhich prohibits entry into the United States on 90 days for citizens of 7 countries (Iran, Iraq, Yemen, Libya, Syria, Somalia and Sudan), suspends reception of any refugees for 120 days and prohibits indefinitely accepting refugees from Syria.
Later court of first instance and appellate court suspended this decree.
