Russia sent to Ukraine the next humanitarian convoy with auto parts, tires and literature

The trucks of the 26th so-called “humanitarian convoy”, which today entered the territory of Donbass occupied by militants from the Russian Federation, transported auto parts and tires for off-road vehicles.

This was announced today at a briefing in Kiev by the Assistant Chairman of the State Border Service of Ukraine Oleg Slobodian.

According to him, two convoys of 101 vehicles entered the territory of Ukraine through the Russian checkpoints Donetsk and Mamayev Kurgan.

According to Slobodian, as before, the Ukrainian interdepartmental group could not carry out the proper clearance of the cargo, and, therefore, only carried out visual observation.

“The peculiarity of this convoy is that part of the cargo is not of a humanitarian nature; in particular, four trucks carried auto parts, and three carried tires for off-road vehicles. The presence of weapons or ammunition was not observed,” Slobodyan said.

This morning, a convoy of more 100 vehicles invaded Ukraine from Russia through an uncontrolled section of the border.

Russia stated that this convoy is delivering the 26th “humanitarian” cargo to the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, which includes food, basic necessities, construction materials, as well as “educational literature for Donbass schoolchildren and students.”

Recall that, since the summer of 2014, Russia has been sending the so-called "humanitarian convoys" — columns of trucks, the contents of which are unknown to anyone, since Ukrainian border guards, customs officers, as well as representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross do not have the opportunity to inspect the cargo.

Ukraine states that all Russian “humanitarian convoys” are only support for militants, and the trucks bring ammunition, dry rations, and weapons into terrorist-controlled territories.

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko at the end of January called such “convoys” “quasi-aid.” In his opinion, the cargo that “the aggressor is illegally transporting to Donbass” consists of “fuel for tanks and weapons for terrorists.”

Ukraine notes that Russia, by importing such “humanitarian convoys” with unknown cargo without the consent and permission of the Ukrainian side, grossly violates Ukrainian and international legislation.
