After breaking up with a boyfriend, the girl, as a sign of love for herself, decided to marry herself. She spent almost $ 1 on this special day. The details were shared by the edition Mirror.

35-year-old life and business coach Meg Taylor-Morrison from Atlanta, Georgia has always wanted to get married on Halloween 2020.

However, after breaking up in June 2020, she realized that her dream wedding could turn into something different.

Hearing that other people were arranging marriage ceremonies with themselves, Meg decided that she didn’t need anyone to arrange a wedding.

She felt it was a great opportunity to show herself the love she deserved.

“I decided to get married out of love for myself,” Meg explained.

She added, “Part of marrying yourself was to go beyond what people enjoy or try to look a certain way. The bottom line is that I wanted to say yes to my own desires. "

Like most brides-to-be, Meg meticulously planned her special day months in advance: ordering a wedding cake, choosing the perfect dress and, of course, a sparkling diamond ring.

However, the newlywed admits that she was sometimes uncomfortable planning a wedding for one spouse. And she often wondered: would family and friends view her actions as narcissistic or as compensation for her husband's absence?

At first, the bride's mother was worried that her daughter had decided to marry her beloved.

For Meg, however, the main reason for marrying herself was to give up trying to please other people and to focus on herself.

The ceremony itself was attended by ten of Meg's closest friends and relatives. All guests adhered to strict COVID-19 safety guidelines.

She walked along the path accompanied by the song Here Comes the Bride, which was performed by the bridesmaids to the accompaniment of kazoo, while the guests arranged fireworks from soap bubbles and bathed in a spray of champagne.

Meg then read the vows she had written, took her wedding ring and kissed herself in the mirror.

After the ceremony, the attendees ate a wedding cake and then danced and savor Thai food.

For Meg, marrying herself was an extremely positive experience, which once again convinced me: you should trust your own opinion and put personal health and happiness first every day.

For her, it served as an expression of love for herself and the desire to take care of herself beloved.

“It was the most wonderful experience of my life! - said Meg. “One of my best friends, Peter, walked me down the path while my guests made bubble fireworks and sang…” Meg read her vows and fought back tears.

“I cut the cake, and everyone at the wedding fed me whatever they wanted,” Meg recalls with a smile. Then there was an evening of dancing, and some food was ordered for the guests.

“My friends were so wonderful! They brought me wedding gifts, treated this time as sacred and special, and said beautiful words,” says Meg.

Meg says that everyone should repeat her experience and marry themselves. According to her, you don’t have to be lonely or suffer from a recent breakup to do this, although many believe that she did this precisely because of loneliness. “I was not trying to compensate for anything, fill a void or heal psychologically through this ceremony. I would marry myself even if I was still in a relationship,” she said and emphasized that such a “marriage” is a great way to show love to yourself and understand your importance.
