Life in the suburbs of New York will save more than $ 70 thousand
New York families, who claim that they will never move to the suburbs, do not understand what an incredibly expensive choice they make, even compared to other major US cities.
A recent study by Zillow and Care.com found that families living in the New York City suburbs save a staggering $71 per year compared to those living in the city. The next biggest savings was in Chicago, where families can save an average of $237 by living in the suburbs.
The study used statistical data from different regions of the United States: the cost of child care, mortgage payments and property taxes.
Perhaps the most surprising was the relatively small difference between life in the city of San Francisco and in the suburbs. Suburban residents could save less than $ 12 560.
