The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation in South Florida closed establishments that had problems with cockroaches, rodents and flies.
Taco Bell is an international chain of fast food restaurants serving Tex-Mex cuisine. Owned by Yum! Brands.
Taco Bell, which is located at 2250 SOUTH UNIVERSITY DRIVE, closed on March 16 after an investigation based on a complaint. 16 violations were found in the institution.

The inspectors found insects in the restaurant. More than 100 live larvae were in standing water on the floor and in the food preparation line next to the nacho chip holder. The inspection found a dead fly on the shelf of a soda machine in the restaurant hall.
Dead cockroaches were found in the hall at the counter next to the cash terminal.
Taco Bell employees worked without caps, which is a gross violation of sanitary standards. It was recorded that a restaurant employee drank a drink from an unclosed container directly on the food preparation line in the dishwashing area.
