Jews living in America meet with Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid in New York
On September 21, Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid met with the leaders of the Jewish Federations of North America and the Conference of Presidents of Leading American Jewish Organizations.
The leaders of the Jewish communities of North America thanked the head of government for paying attention to the Jewish diaspora ahead of his speech at the United Nations General Assembly.
Topics of serious concern to both the State of Israel and the Jewish communities were discussed at the meeting. In particular, this is the growth of anti-Semitism around the world and the threat from Iran.
Representatives of the Jewish communities highlighted Prime Minister Yair Lapid's commitment to strengthening ties between Israel and the American Jewish diaspora. They expressed their hope to continue working closely with the Israeli government on issues of mutual concern to Israel and the Jewish communities of North America.
