Washington resident got into the wrong car and was raped

Washington State policemen are looking for a man who posed as a driver in Seattle and raped a woman who mistakenly got into the wrong car.

April 2 King County Sheriff's office reported on the incident that occurred on December 16, writes Fox News. The victim left a bar in Seattle to get into a private ride-share type car that her friend called to take the woman home.

“She found several of these types of cars parked outside, so she began asking each driver if his friend had called him,” said District Sergeant Ryan Abbott. “One of the guys replied: “Yes, it’s me, let’s go.”

The man who drove the car was not the driver. On the way, he stopped a car in the southern part of Seattle and raped a fellow traveler. After that, he asked her address and took the woman home.

Video footage released by the sheriff's office shows the man police are looking for. The footage shows him outside the victim's home, unlocking her door and handing her a mobile phone.

This news came just a few days after student from South Carolina was abducted and killed, accidentally sitting in the car, which by mistake was taken for Uber.

Errors with cars when ordering are not uncommon, regardless of whether we are talking about services like Uber or ride-share cars and the like.

Police warns: always check the license plates and make / model of the vehicle you are calling, pay attention to the photo and the driver's name before you get into the car. It is also recommended to ask the driver to give his name. Abbott says that criminals often activate protection from children in the back seat, so the victim cannot unlock the lock from the inside and get out of the car.
