New Yorker is going to sue all restaurants where there is no food for diabetics
Bronx resident Jose Reyes, a diabetic, is suing three restaurants—the Barclays Center, the Ford Amphitheater and the Music Hall of Williamsburg—alleging that their policies prohibiting food distribution on their premises violate the Disability Discrimination Act, he writes. New York Post.

Reyes explains that he has to take certain snacks with him to restaurants to maintain the required level of insulin. He stresses that he is not even trying to go to places because of his “metabolic disability”.
He noted that it is dangerous for him to eat any food in these restaurants if he does not have certain products that help his health. And in these institutions there are no such products.
“People with metabolic disabilities attend public events just like everyone else. But they are faced with the fact that they cannot access certain foods, goods and services that will not harm their health,” the lawsuit states.
Reyes' lawsuit is one of many lawsuits people are filing under the auspices of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Earlier, five New Yorkers filed a total of 400 lawsuits against businesses that lack wheelchair access ramps.
