Living like a hobbit: in Armenia there is a hotel resembling the house of a famous character

Brothers Ararat and Edgar Gulanyan opened a guest house in Dilijan (Armenia), which resembles the home of the hobbits - the Shire. Hobbits are characters from English writer John Tolkien's novels The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. Writes about this Arcakh24.info.

Some guest houses are in the ground, the roof is also covered with a layer of soil and green grass and flowers. In the book “The Hobbit,” the houses are called “hobbit huts,” but the author warns that the expression “hut” should not be understood as a dirty, wet, and poor area, but rather, it is comfort. The main goal of Hobbit House, built in Dilijan, is also to provide comfort.

Edgar Gulanyan was inspired by the look of the hobbit houses depicted in the film and the idea was born to build a guest house.

This is not their first guest house. They also have two more in Dilijan, but the Gulanyan brothers decided to make this a new tourist destination.

One of the goals of the brothers is to make the tourist who came to the hotel as close to nature as possible.

The hotel was built by family members: Edgar was a designer, he drew the sketches, and the father of the family, Artavazd Gulanyan, supervised the construction work with local residents, and then painted the walls, the furniture was prepared by Dilijan craftsmen. Ararat claims that the guesthouse also had work for local residents.

Each guest house has an area of ​​20 square meters, and guests are greeted by the fantastic characters of The Hobbit.

It is important for brothers to increase the flow of tourists in Armenia and attract as many tourists as possible to Dilijan.
