Housing Lottery in the Bronx: apartment for 864 dollars per month

In New York, a new housing lottery has started - residents are being offered in Concourse village, Bronx, rent 88 apartments for less than $ 1300 per month.

The building, located at 294 E. 162nd St. — adjacent to subway lines B, D and 4 — has a long list of amenities, including a fitness room, computer rooms, courtyard and laundry facilities.

The cost of apartments varies from $ 864 per month for a studio to $ 1,287 per month for a three-room apartment. There are a total of 28 studios, 32 one-bedroom apartments, 3 two-bedroom and 6 three-bedroom apartments.

About 7% units will be allocated to applicants with disabilities, and residents living in the Community Board 4 district will receive some privileges in the application process, reports HPD.

The application for the lottery can be sent online or by mail, but no later than January 17.

In New York, there is a special program that allows you to rent housing below the market value of low-income residents. To do this, they can apply for participation in the housing lottery.    You will be asked to provide detailed information on employment and income (on you and all household members). Having started the filling process, you can save the application and return to it at any time. To apply, you must fill in all required fields.
3. Apply.
   To submit an application, click on the “Submit Application” button for any of the residential properties for which you are entitled to apply. For one residential object you can submit no more than one application. The application must be submitted no later than the deadline. 4. Track application history.
   You will be contacted if your application is randomly selected during the initial lease or sale process. Please note that due to the large number of applications, it is not possible to contact every applicant for every project. You can view all the projects you have applied for in the Residential Listing (Search tab). Here you can check if the application is valid or expired. If you do not want to apply online, you can submit it in paper form. An application form can be mailed to you. Go to the ad for the project you are interested in on the “Search” page. There you will learn how to get an application form by mail and where to send the completed form.

Applicants are not required to pay an application fee, but they may be charged for a credit check that is not refundable.

You will also be contacted if your application is rejected for any of the following reasons:

1. The household does not meet the established requirements (such as income) for participation in the program in which housing was built.
2. The household received more than one application for a residential property, which led to its cancellation.
