In New York, a new housing lottery has been launched from 36 apartments in a luxurious pyramid building with a rent from $ 1 448 per month per studio.

VIA 57 West, building on 625 W. 57th St. between 11 and 12 Avenue, offers apartments to those who meet the following requirements:

► One studio is available for $ 1 488 per month for one person with income from $ 51 532 to $ 60 120 per year.

► One studio is available for $ 1 615 per month for one person with income from $ 57 258 to $ 66 800 per year.

► One studio is available for $ 1 782 per month for one person with income from $ 62 983 to $ 73 480 per year.

► Five studios are available for $ 1 499 per month for one person with income from $ 68 709 to $ 80 160 per year.

► Three one-bedroom apartments are available for $ 1 554 per month for one person with income from $ 55 234 to $ 60 120 per year, or a two-person family with income from $ 55 234 to $ 68 760 per year.

► Four one-bedroom apartments are available for $ 1 733 per month for one person with income from $ 61 372 to $ 66 800 per year, or a two-person family with income from $ 61 732 to $ 76 400 per year.

► Four one-bedroom apartments are available for $ 1 912 per month for one person whose income ranges from $ 67 509 to $ 73 480 per year, or to a two-person family whose total income ranges from $ 67 509 to $ 84 040 per year.

► One three-bedroom apartment is available for $ 2 902 per month for families of four with incomes from $ 102 069 to $ 103 080 per year, families of five with income from $ 102 069 to $ 123 720 per year; or families of six with incomes from $ 102 069 to $ 132 840 per year.

The building has a lobby that runs 24 hours a day, all apartments have built-in washing machines and dryers.

For an additional fee, residents can use the in-building fitness center, basketball court, golf simulator, swimming pool and landscaped open space, the release says.

Five percent of the housing will be given to applicants with limited mobility, and another 2% of the housing will be given to the visually and hearing impaired.

The monthly rental price includes gas for cooking.
