A woman running away from a hurricane won the $ 10 thousand lottery
A resident of Okoy, Florida, Tiffany Hatfield, during the evacuation of the hurricane Irma bought a lottery ticket, which brought her 10 thousands of dollars.
She was heading from Florida to Virginia and acquired a scratch lottery during a short stop in North Carolina, writes CBS.
The mother of three children noted that she decided to stop at the store, because her daughter needed to use the toilet. Expecting her daughter, she bought a lottery ticket. After removing the protective coating, they realized that they had won 10 thousands, and began to scream with joy.
Hatfield received her September 12 prize. She and her family have already returned to Florida and intend to use the money for repairs after the hurricane.
