A woman filed a lawsuit against Subway: the manager of the restaurant slapped her

Tina Richardson from North Carolina filed a lawsuit for $ 25 thousand against a restaurant chain Subway due to the fact that the manager of one of the establishments gave her a slap in the face, writes ABC News.

8 March Richardson came to a restaurant located in Concord, North Carolina to buy a ginger sandwich for a familiar old woman. The woman for whom the sandwich was intended, said that he did not look like the one she had seen in the advertising brochure and that there was no ginger in it, judging by the taste. Richardson came back to get a refund for an incorrectly executed order. But the restaurant employee refused to satisfy Richardson's request.

At that moment, the manager, Kenneth Lancaster, appeared in the restaurant, who started shouting at the woman and told her to leave the establishment. Richardson began to record a fight with the manager on video. A man approached her and hit her in the face, which is also seen in the video.

A woman posted a video on Facebook. It gathered almost 4 million views.

“When she didn’t receive the sandwich she ordered, Richardson returned to Subway to get her money back. Instead, she got a slap on the wrist,” said the victim’s lawyer, Beau Caudill.

“The aggressive behavior captured on video is disgraceful and disgraceful and should greatly concern everyone who eats at Subway and expects its restaurants and their owners to provide a safe and welcoming environment for their families, free from gender discrimination and violence,” noted the lawyer.

Subway, on behalf of Lancaster, issued a statement expressing regret for the incident, and noted that this behavior does not meet company standards.

“Our guest satisfaction is very important to us, and we expect our staff to treat every guest with respect. The local team has contacted the guest to apologize on behalf of the restaurant as this incident does not meet the high standards that Subway restaurants require of franchise owners. The franchise owner expressed regret for the employee's handling of the situation," the statement said.

In turn, the lawyer said that the company did not directly apologize to Richardson.

Richardson wants moral and physical damages for her.

Subway is a fast food restaurant chain operating on a franchise basis. One of the largest catering chains in the world in terms of the number of catering outlets.
