Indiana's 25-year-old resident Sarah Cummins suddenly canceled the wedding, which was to be held on July 15.

She did not want to disclose the reason for the cancellation of the celebration, and decided to use the paid hall and banquet for a chic feast for the homeless. CBS Local.

The preparations cost the girl thousands of dollars in 30 and it was already impossible to return them, so she decided that she shouldn’t just throw away a huge amount of food (the reception was designed for 170 people).

“It was very difficult for me. I called everyone, canceled, apologized, cried. And I felt really bad about throwing away all that food,” Cummins said.

Woman warned Raitz charles about changing the type of event, asking the institution to arrange tables in a different way, removing the central table for the bride and groom, and also remove the tables for cake and gifts.

Representatives of the charitable organizations of the city, with whom Sarah contacted, noted that they highly appreciate her deed.

“Homelessness is stressful for the whole family. I hope that the opportunity to eat in such a beautiful place as Ritz Charles, will be a pleasant experience for them that they will remember for a long time,” Cummins said.

The woman is glad that she managed to turn the sad event of the wedding cancellation into something positive, because she had been postponing and working overtime for several years to pay for the celebration.

After lunch with the homeless, Cummins herself will go on a honeymoon to the Dominican Republic.
