The heat in Miami is close to the record - US weather service

The current hot weather in Miami is not a record yet, but it is already close to that. For the first time in 7 years, the US National Weather Service has issued recommendations for residents and guests of South Florida.
Although the air temperature is around 90ºF (+ 32ºC) or more, the thermal index, which is a combination of temperature and humidity, is superior to 100ºF (+ 32ºC).
The temperature record in Miami was set in July 1942.
Specialists noted increased, even for the local region, humidity.
"In past years, Miami has been hotter than it is now, but the humidity was lower and the heat wasn't felt as much," said Arlena Moses of the National Weather Service.
The main danger in such a situation is heatstroke.
The message meteorologists do not recommend a long time to be in the heat in the coming days, advised to go in light clothing and consume as much water as possible.
The recommendations relate primarily to the Miami-Dade counties (including, among others, Miami, Miami Beach and Sunny Isles) and Broward (Hollywood, Hallandale Beach and others).
Experts do not rule out the emergence of new recommendations for residents of South Florida in the coming days.
