Zelensky first talked to Trump on the phone: what the presidents were discussing

As the official site President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky held a telephone conversation with President of the United States of America Donald Trump.

“The US President congratulated Ukraine on the successful holding of free and democratic parliamentary elections, and Vladimir Zelensky on the confident victory of the Servant of the People party,” the publication says.

The head of the White House expressed confidence that “the renewed Ukrainian government will be able to quickly improve the image of Ukraine” and also “complete the investigation into corruption cases that have held back interaction between Ukraine and the United States.”

The presidents agreed to substantively discuss the practical issues of Ukrainian-American cooperation during the visit of Vladimir Zelensky to the United States.
