For vaccination against COVID-19 in West Virginia, you can get a gun or pistol
West Virginia residents who have received the COVID-19 vaccine will participate in a draw for prizes that include substandard firearms and $ 1 million. Governor Jim Justice said this is a state government initiative to intensify vaccination efforts. Writes about it New York Post.
June 20, Father's Day, will be the first in a series of weekly draws slated to run until August 4, the governor said.
“To be eligible, you must have received your first vaccination,” Justice said.
Among the prizes participating in the draw on June 20 are five hunting rifles and five pistols, two modified pickup trucks and five lifetime hunting and fishing permits, he elaborated.

The Father's Day drawing also includes two four-year scholarships to any West Virginia institution for winners ages 12 to 25, as well as a $1 million grand prize.
Residents of West Virginia who have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine since winter are eligible to participate in the drawing, which means that the first vaccinated can also take part.

According to the West Virginia government and the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 51,1% of the state's residents received at least one dose of the vaccine, more than the 50,5% nationwide.
