Jewish Federations of North America raised $388 million for Israel in one week
Just one week Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) raised $388 million to support Israel.

Jewish federations have already awarded $10 million to 20 organizations providing emergency relief and support in Israel, including the Jewish Agency for Israel, JDC, World ORT, Israel Trauma Coalition, United Hatzalah, Magen David Adom, ZAKA, Barzilai Medical Center and Soroka Medical Center.
The announcement of the funds raised was made yesterday at an emergency meeting of major philanthropists and community leaders in Washington, organized by JFNA in conjunction with the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, AIPAC, the American Jewish Committee, the Anti-Defamation League and other Jewish organizations.
“Against the backdrop of the horrors of what is happening in Israel, our community has shown unprecedented solidarity,” said the chairman Jewish Federation North America Julie Platt. “In every corner of North America, in every community, we are amazed at the generosity and speed with which people step up to support Israel in its time of need.”
The event was attended by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, US Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas and other politicians and government officials.
