Thanksgiving Americans lowered over one billion dollars
Americans spent over one billion dollars on online sales during Thanksgiving. Reports about it Reuters with reference to the Adobe Digital Index.
The Adobe Digital Index analyzed 100 millions of visits to 4,5 from thousands of US trading company sites. Between midnight and 17: Thanksgiving Day 00, American spending on the Web increased by 22% from last year.
As for offline stores, in the consulting firm Customer Growth Partners noted a “large but not enormous” flow of customers on the eve of Black Friday (the start of the Christmas and New Year sales in the US). According to National Retail Federation, in 2015, sales during the holiday season should increase by 3,7% (by comparison, last year they increased by 4,1%).
This year, "Black Friday" falls on November 27. At the same time, many large retailers decided to start sales to coincide with it earlier. So, Amazon launched them from November 20, and the Wal-Mart network moved “Cyber Monday”, following Black Friday, on Sunday, November 29.
