The FBI informer Bulger became in 1975 year, after which, in essence, acquired a kind of immunity: for several decades, many crimes he got away with.

In the cinema, as in real life, Bulger had a brother - a successful politician in the camp of the Democratic Party. William Bulger, after it became known during the trial that his brother was affiliated with the mafia, publicly stated that he did not know about his brother’s criminal life, but because of his love for him, he still couldn’t tell the police about his unlawful actions .

Similarities with James Bulger are found in another film - in the Oscar-winning detective story Martina Scorsese "The Departed". Whitey's character traits are read at Jack Nicholsonwho played the mafia. According to the scenario, he is the head of the Irish criminal diaspora in Boston. Real Bulger really was an American with Irish roots. And in the film, and in life, he was callous and ruthless, and just as restrained as Nicholson showed.

There are many stories about the cruelty of James Bulger: for example, once he personally strangled two women and tortured a man for several hours, after which he shot him in the face with a machine gun. In 1995, when I learned from an FBI agent that they were preparing to charge him, Bulger went on the run. He was arrested in 2011 in the California city of Santa Monica, where he was hiding with his beloved Catherine Greig.

Two years later, Bulger was convicted of murdering an 11 man. He committed all these murders more than 30 years ago. And now he himself became a victim of cruel reprisals.
