Good weather and low prices: the best cities in the US for retirement

When it comes time to retire, most people don't have an unlimited budget. But we all want to live on a well-deserved rest with dignity and in a good place. Edition GOBankingRates compiled a list of the best US cities that are ideal for this purpose.

Retirement should be about enjoying life as much as possible avoiding stress and spending time outdoors basking in the sun. However, to do so on a budget, you need to choose a well-deserved holiday destination that is not only affordable, but also has a comfortable climate.

Most often, retirees find the most accessible and sunniest places in the southernmost state of the continental United States - Florida. I must say that more than half of the 22 US cities on this list are located here.

While warm weather in the south means almost all potential retirement spots are there, two cities in the north make this list for what they have to offer.

To rank in the study, each city had to meet the following requirements: more than 25% of the population was aged 65 or over, the average house price was below the national average, and the average annual temperature was in a moderate range.
