The last of three films by Peter Jackson about The Hobbit for the third week in a row leads in box office in the US and Canada. Over the past week tickets for the amount of 21,9 million dollars were sold.

The second place in the list of the highest-grossing films is occupied by the Disney version of the Broadway musical “The Farther Into the Forest ...”, which brought together 19, 1 million dollars for today. The drama about the Second World War, directed by Angelina Jolie "Unbroken" - in third place with 18,1 million dollars.

The Hobbit: the Battle of the Five Armies earned 31,2 million in four days of the new year. Only on New Year's Day, tickets were sold for the sum of 9,3 million dollars. Since the release of the 17 screens in December, the picture has only earned 220,8 million dollars in the United States, according to Rentrak.

"Unbroken" - the second directorial work of Jolie - the real story of Olympian Louis Zamperini, who during the Second World War spent two years in captivity with the Japanese.
