WP: By giving Javelin to Ukraine, Trump “will make Putin pause in Donbas”

The decision of US President Donald Trump to provide Ukrainian troops anti-tank missiles Javelins and approving the commercial sale of sniper rifles was definitely correct, says the publication The Washington Post.

The Trump administration for several months doubted whether to provide defensive weapons to Ukraine, but when it finally turned to action, the time was chosen very well.

And Trump's decision to provide Ukraine with anti-tank missiles Javelins and agreeing on the sale of sniper rifles “could force Putin to take a break.”

The number of American weapons that Ukraine will receive is insignificant, but these weapons will fill the key weaknesses in defending the country.
