WhatsApp now lets you hide chats behind a secret code
WhatsApp offers a new way to hide classified chats from prying eyes. Now the folder with classified chats will not be visible along with all the others - you can hide them behind a secret code. The publication told in more detail The Verge.

You can use letters, numbers, special characters, and even emojis in your secret code. To find secret chats, just enter this password in the WhatsApp search bar. This will prevent anyone from knowing that you have a chat folder if they suddenly gain access to your phone.

WhatsApp notes that you can choose to have classified chats appear in your chat list at any time.
The messenger, owned by Meta, first introduced classified chats in May. They let you hide conversations in a folder that can only be opened with a fingerprint, face scan, or password. In addition to the new secret codes feature, WhatsApp says you can now hide a chat with just a long press instead of going into the chat settings.

Meta is starting to roll out the secret codes immediately, and they will be available worldwide in the coming months.
