The producers postponed the release of the seventh season of the Games of Thrones series for several months. Filming was decided to postpone due to sunny weather.
It is noted that usually the display of each season starts in April, but in the 2017, new series will be released later. "At the end of the sixth season, the plot came winter, and this means that sunny weather is not suitable for the start of filming," - explained the producers of the series David Benioff and Dan Weiss. They did not specify the exact date of the release of the seventh season.
30 Jun. Benioff and Weiss said that the eighth season of the series will be the last. According to the creators, the action entered the final stage after Daenerys Targaryen set off a fleet and went to Västerås. This is shown in the last episode of the sixth season.
The producers also announced that four directors will be working on the seventh season, and not five, as before. In addition, Weiss and Benioff suggested that the seventh and eighth seasons should consist of a combination of 13 episodes. In 2017, viewers will see seven episodes.
