Flew into the oncoming lane: actor Mikhail Efremov made a terrible accident

The GU MVD in Moscow reported that the actor was sent for a medical examination for the presence of alcohol in the blood, writes TASS.

Moscow police confirmed that actor Mikhail Efremov was detained after an accident on Smolenskaya Square in central Moscow. This was announced on June 8 by the head of the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Moscow Vladimir Vasenin.

“Today at 21:44 Moscow time, near house 3 on Smolenskaya Square, the driver of a Jeep Grand Cherokee drove into oncoming traffic and collided with a Lada car. According to preliminary data, the driver of the Lada was injured as a result of the accident. Emergency services are on the scene. Police officers detained the driver [of the foreign car] at the scene,” he said.

Currently, a medical examination of Efremov for the presence of alcohol in the blood is being carried out.

As noted by «Medusa», the actor was so drunk that he could not get into the police car himself; he was “dragged and taken away.”

“The injured driver was taken to a medical facility with injuries of varying severity,” added the head of the press service.

Previously, a source in law enforcement agencies explained to TASS that if doctors determine that the victim has suffered serious harm to health, a case may be brought against Efremov under Part 2 of Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Violation of traffic rules and operation of vehicles”), which provides for up to seven years in prison.

Also, as the agency’s interlocutor said, Efremov faces a deprivation of a driver’s license and an administrative fine.

The driver of the car into which the car of Efremov, 58-year-old Sergei Zakharov crashed, was able to reanimate in an ambulance, after which they were taken to the Sklifosovsky Institute with numerous injuries.

Mail.ru reports that the man is an employee of the food delivery company and at the time of the accident he was delivering goods.

“The injured man is currently hospitalized. He suffered an open hip fracture, a rib fracture, a closed craniocerebral injury, as well as a combined head injury,” the TASS source said.

Eyewitnesses of the event posted several videos on the network with the consequences of an accident. As can be seen from the publications, Efremov got out of his car in a very drunk state.
