Elections to the State Duma of Russia: how and where you can vote in the USA
This Sunday, September 19, elections to the State Duma of Russia will take place. Embassy of the Russian Federation in the USA explained how and where you can vote for the Russians who are on the territory of the United States.

In the United States, you can vote in three places:
- At the Russian Embassy in Washington (2650 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Washington DC, 20007). It serves the following states: Idaho, Alaska, Wyoming, Washington, Virginia, West Virginia, Hawaii, North Dakota, South Dakota, Delaware, Georgia, California, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Maryland, Montana, Nevada, DC, Oregon , Tennessee, Florida, Utah.
- At the Russian Consulate General in New York (9 East 91 Street, New York, NY, 10128). It serves the following states: Vermont, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Michigan, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island.
- At the Russian Consulate General in Houston (1333 West Loop South, Suite 1300, Houston, Texas, 77027). It serves the following states: Iowa, Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Kansas, Colorado, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas.
The sites will be open from 08:00 to 20:00 local time.
Citizens of the Russian Federation who have reached the age of 18 on voting day and who permanently reside or temporarily reside in the United States can take part in the voting.

Russians registered in Moscow, Sevastopol or in the Kursk, Murmansk, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov, Yaroslavl regions have the right to vote at their choice at the respective polling stations or online. Online can vote those who registered before September 13th.
To participate in voting, a voter must have a document proving the identity of a citizen of the Russian Federation - a valid international passport, diplomatic or service passport. If your passport is expired or lost, you can vote using the internal passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation.
