Choosing a pet: the most aggressive and friendly dog breeds
Despite being called "man's best friend", many dogs have their own aggressive side. A new study has pinpointed which breeds are most likely to show aggression towards other dogs. Dailymail.
Not surprisingly, researchers from the University of Helsinki found that fighting dogs are the most aggressive. This group includes American Bulldogs, American Pit Bull Terriers and American Staffordshire Terriers.
In contrast, Golden Retrievers, Labrador Retrievers and Beagles were found to be the least aggressive dogs.
In the study, the team set out to explore differences in temperament between dog breeds.

“Dog breed is the most important determinant of personality differences,” said Dr. Milla Salonen, lead author of the study. “All dogs are different, and all breeds have different traits, but what makes them different is what the majority of the dogs in each breed have.”
The team collected a huge behavioral survey dataset containing information on 11 dogs from 000 different breeds.
Then they were divided into 52 groups.
