The second case of the week: a bison attacked a girl in the US National Park

In just a week, two bison attacks on minors occurred in US national parks - on July 22, a bison threw a 9-year-old girl into the air in Yellowstone Park, and on July 27, in Theodore Roosevelt National Park in North Dakota, the animal attacked a 17-year-old girl.

On July 27, a 17-year-old girl was attacked by a bison on a hiking trail - she walked between two fighting bison, she writes USA Today. One of the animals attacked a teenager, hit the girl in the back, butted her hips and threw about 6 feet (about 2 meters) into the air.

The park rangers and paramedics of Billings County provided assistance to the girl at the scene of the incident, and then she was transported by helicopter to Bismarck Hospital. Authorities say the victim is in a stable condition.

According to the park rules, visitors must keep at least 25 yards (about 23 meters) away from large animals such as bison, moose, deer and horses.

Last week, representatives of Yellowstone National Park reported that a bison threw an 9-year-old girl into the air when the animal collided with a group of about 50 tourists.

Park officials said that the bison rushed to the group after some tourists approached him at a distance of 5-10 feet (1,5-3 meters) and remained at this close distance of at least 20 minutes.

The girl from Odessa, Florida, was taken to the clinic, from where she was discharged after providing the necessary medical care.

Before the original 12 second clip was removed from Twitter, the video gathered millions of views and was distributed 38 000 once.

Bison can weigh up to 900 kg and run at speeds of 50 km / h.
