Main characteristics of the chip:

• It replaces electronic wallets, bank cards, travel cards, all kinds of keys and passes. With it, you can pay with a simple touch of the hand to the terminal.
• He is very small, the size of a grain of rice.
• Its price along with the implantation procedure is $ 180, and some companies offer this service to their employees for free.
• It does not have GPS, it is impossible to track a person through it.
• The chip works only a few centimeters from the reader, that is, attackers can only steal information about the user if they manage to take hold of his hand.
• It is “passive”, that is, it contains information in itself, but cannot read anything from other devices.

The innovation also has opponents. Skeptics believe that, firstly, no one can give an absolute guarantee of the confidentiality of human data. Secondly, some are sure that the lack of GPS devices is only a matter of time. It is possible that everything will start with large corporations that can begin to track the location of their employees. Otherwise (now there will be a conspiracy thesis) why do some companies provide such a service for free? In a word, "Big Brother sees you, Big Brother is watching you."

Yes, it is very convenient. It used to be: you need to get a bulky phone and find there a tiny Apple or Google Pay icon. Or even worse - to take out a purse from the bag, which strives to slip out of the hands, and still had to look for keys that took up a lot of space and rang annoyingly. And now, just imagine, you can open any doors, buy cocktails, shirts and tram tickets with just one movement of your hand.

It is possible that after some 5 years a person accidentally opening this article will laugh at such conservative thoughts, but so far the ethical side of this issue continues to worry many people.
