They say that at the time of registration, the hotel administrator told them that, based on the address of their residence, they should go to another hotel.

Anthony and Janette Davis have been living in their house in Kankake for 15 years, and do not understand what is wrong in this city.

The couple said they were trying to book a room at the Hampton Inn hotel in Bradley (Arkansas). They gave the administrator a credit card and identity cards, but there was a problem.

Anthony Davis describes the situation as follows: "She said:" Sorry, I can’t give you the number, guys. " To my question about the reason for the refusal, the administrator answered: “Because of your address. You live in Kankakee

They were shocked and demanded a meeting with the owner, but they were told that it was he who established such rules.

The hotel administrator said that some time ago, a resident of Kankaki threatened a hotel guest with a gun. Anthony Davis tried to explain that he had nothing to do with this man, but he was still refused.

The couple said that they were staying in another hotel next door, and then called reporters to figure out the matter.

Hilton, the parent company of Hampton Inn, explained that although the hotel is independently owned and operated, they were not entitled to refuse: “Hilton is by nature a welcoming company and we welcome everyone.”

Soon, the owner of the Hampton Inn called back and offered a pair of 1000 dollars and dinner if they did not make the case publicly available through the media. But the Davies argue that it is not about money, but about standing up for people from Kankakee.

According to the owner of the Hampton Inn, this policy was canceled more than a week ago before the couple brought the scandal to the public.

The authorities of Bourbonne posted a statement saying: “On behalf of Mayor Paul Shore and the village, we would like to confirm that the Hampton Inn represented in this story is registered in Bourbonne, but is located in Bradley. At the end of October, Mr. Davis called us and informed our office about the situation. The relevant authorities in Bradley dealt with this issue.
