The east coast of the USA awaits a sharp cooling and early snow

This week, unusually low temperatures will be observed on the east coast and northeastern United States, snow will fall in some regions.

Cooling is expected by the end of this week on the east coast, which will bring unusually early fall snow to the Ohio Valley, upstate New York and Vermont, writes The Daily Mail.

Unusually low temperatures were already recorded in the northern plains and the Midwest during the weekend, where masses of cold air continue to move.

It is expected that a series of weak storm systems moving through the center of the country will direct winter weather east to the Atlantic, creating the possibility of snowfall in the northeastern states by Friday.

"By the end of the first week of November, snow could fall as far as the mid-Atlantic coast," AccuWeather meteorologist Dan Pidinowski said.

Experts warn that the forecast is far from final and may change in the following days.

In the event that the snow does set in, it is expected that it will be weak and limited to rural areas, bypassing large cities and coastal zones.

It is predicted that temperatures in the northeast, in the middle of the Atlantic, in the central, southern regions and in the midwest in the first few weeks of November will be below the norm by 5-10 degrees.

Recent temperature forecasts for 8-14 days from the NOAA Climate Prediction Center have shown that in these areas the probability that the temperature will be below average was at least 50%.

While the Midwest and the northeast are preparing for early winter, most of the southeast of the United States from Oklahoma to the southern Appalachians expects rains and thunderstorms before the end of this week.

This region is recovering from one of the coldest Halloween ever, when frosts occurred from Texas to California, Carolina and Georgia at the end of last week.

Up north in Illinois, Chicago said goodbye to October with record snowfall, the earliest in 30 years.
