Total former taxi driver accused of crimes 16. He faces life imprisonment without parole, writes Air force.
During the trial, he stated that he decided to confess to the murders of his own free will, although his lawyer was against it. The defendant added that he had “wanted this for quite some time.”

As Dalton testified during the trial, he became a "puppet" of the Uber app, which he believes controlled his "mind and body" and forced him to shoot people for five hours.
Four were killed at a Cracker Barrel restaurant and two at a Kia dealership. None of them were Uber customers, but in between the murders, Dalton continued to deliver rides to people who ordered taxis on the Uber app.
All the killings took place on the evening of February 20 2016.
- The first murder attempt took place near an apartment building in Kalamazoo, a small city west of Detroit, around 17:30 p.m. local time. The woman was shot twice, reportedly in front of her children. She was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
- Around 22: 00 local time in a motor show father and son were killed, and another person was injured.
- In the 22: 15 area, in the parking lot near the Cracker Barrel restaurant, 62-year-old Mary Lou Nye, 74-year-old Dorothy Brown, 68-year-old Barbara Hawthorne and 60-year-old Mary Joe Nye were killed. 14-year-old girl was badly injured.
After the arrest of Dalton that evening, Uber said that they were horrified by his violent actions. The company noted that it has passed the verification of basic biographical data, since it has never broken the law before.
