America is to blame for everything: Russia is shooting its version of the Chernobyl series
Russian television offers its own patriotic view of the Chernobyl disaster of the year 1986. In the new series, everything will be filed as a heroic attempt to prevent the American spy who infiltrated the nuclear enterprise.

The message about shooting your own version of events came in response to the excellent ratings of the mini-series "Chernobyl" from HBO, which showed the consequences of the explosion in Soviet Ukraine, writes New York Post. We add that the series has already become the most rated in history.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Russian version of the series tells about the KGB officers who monitor the CIA agent and reveal his espionage efforts.

The release date of the series has not been announced yet, but it is known that it will be broadcast on the state-funded NTV television channel, known for its pro-Kremlin programs. According to the creators, for this purpose 30 million rubles (460 thousand dollars) have already been received from the Russian Ministry of Culture.

According to The Moscow Times, director Alexei Muradov substantiated this story, citing conspiracy theory, according to which the enemy intelligence agent was on the spot on the day of the explosion.
“According to one theory, the Americans infiltrated the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, and many historians do not deny that an agent of the enemy intelligence services was present at the plant on the day of the explosion,” Muradov said in an interview.
