How much will college tuition cost this year

The cost of education again becomes more expensive and grows faster than inflation or family income.
On average, total tuition, fees, and room and board have increased 10% over the past 5 years at public colleges and 12% at private institutions. This is stated in the annual report of the College Board, published by Wednesday.
As for the average family income, it grew by only 7% over the same period of time.
But there is good news, which is that the cost of college tuition is no longer rising as fast as it was during a recession. For this current school year, the average price has risen slightly less than the year before: by 2,4% in public colleges, and by 3,6% in private ones.
Public colleges still feel the effects of the recession, and this is affecting the rising cost of education today.
At the same time, fewer and fewer students prefer to enroll in state colleges, and private schools that look more affordable choose to enter.
The average price for tuition, fees, room and board:
- 2 One-Year Community College: $ 11 580
- Commercial College: $ 16 000 (except accommodation and meals)
- State College where the student lives: $ 20 090
- state college of another state: $ 35 370
- Private College: $ 45 370
Average tuition price minus scholarships and grants, fees, room and board
Most families pay less for tuition than stated because students receive scholarships and grants. In this case, after accounting for discounts, training costs in:
- 2 One-Year Community College: $ 7 560
- State College where the student lives: $ 14 210
- Private College: $ 26 080
