Cirque du Soleil acrobat during a show in Tampa, FL, 17 March fell from a height of about 3,5 meters and died a few hours later in hospital from his injuries.

38-year-old Jan Arnaud lost control of the stunt he performed and fell from a height, receiving many injuries, writes Tampabay.
The show immediately stopped to allow medical professionals to assist the injured artist on the spot. He was taken to the hospital, but the doctors could not save Arno’s life.
March 18 morning Cirque du Soleil announced, all performances scheduled in Tampa for this weekend, canceled due to the tragic accident.
"The whole family Cirque du Soleil is in shock and devastated by this tragedy. Yann was with us for over 15 years and was loved by all who knew him,” said Daniel Lamarre, President and CEO Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group.
He added that the organization is investigating what happened.

One of the spectators of the tragic show, Ben Ritter, said that the artist’s injury looked shocking. According to him, Arnaud did not move at all after falling on the stage.
When the audience was asked to leave the hall after this accident, Ritter thought that the show could continue after a short break. But soon the audience was informed that the show was canceled.
Frenchman Jan Arno was married to Russian Inna Gorelova. Inna was left alone with two young daughters.
