In Florida, three more pregnant women found Zika virus
In Florida, three more pregnant women registered Zika virus. This was announced by the head of the Department of Health Dr. John Armstrong.
According to the information, all three became infected while traveling to other countries. The weekly report does not specify which countries they visited.
There have already been 32 cases of Zika virus infection in Florida. Of these, Miami has the most—11 people. In all cases, the infection occurred while traveling abroad. However, the virus can be spread both sexually and through mosquito bites.
Let us remind you that the virus is spreading rapidly throughout Latin America. Scientists are now finding out the connection between the virus and the development of microencephaly in the fetus - an unusually small head in a newborn and damage to the child’s brain.
Previously, ForumDaily wrote that the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) investigates 14 reports sexual suspected Zika virus infection.
