Cinemas where you can drive and watch a movie without leaving your car are becoming increasingly popular across the country. But the largest such cinema is about to appear in Florida. It could be Lighthouse 5 (“Mayak-5”) in the city of Eustis. There will be restaurants and even camping on its territory!
Eustis, Florida, is a relatively quiet coastal city that could see some significant activity in the near future.
Although the state already has one of the oldest automobile cinemas in the country, soon one of them will acquire the status of the largest in the world.
The Mayak 5 cinema was proposed by Veritas Theaters CEO Spencer Vollmar, who wants to create a five-screen outdoor cinema unlike any other in existence.

It will not just be an open-air cinema, it will also include restaurants, camping and many other attractions that will make it an ideal place to spend time.
The first hurdle for the proposed cinema was cleared back in March - the way was cleared for its construction.

Vollmar considers the property in 72 acres (29 hectares) as an object of family direction and with its help wants to revive the flow of tourists to the city where he was born.

The creation of a large-scale entertainment complex will occur in stages, but, according to Volmar, it will all start with a cinema with five screens, and then they will create a campsite and playgrounds for motor homes.
Locals say they are delighted with the idea and cannot wait for the world's largest automotive cinema to become a reality in Florida.
