At least two people were killed and 18 were injured in a shooting that broke out in the early hours of October 29 in Tampa, Florida, as hundreds of people celebrating Halloween were leaving festivities. Writes about this New York Post.

Tampa Police Chief Lee Berkow said the two groups began fighting around 03 a.m. as bars and clubs in the Ybor City area began closing, sending hundreds of Halloween partygoers stranded on the streets.
“There are hundreds of innocent people caught between these two groups,” Bercow said.
At some point, the fight escalated into a shootout. As a result of the shooting, two people died and 18 more were hospitalized.

Bercow did not disclose the severity of the injuries, and it is unclear whether all of the wounded were grazed by gunfire or suffered as a result of panic.
Video footage of the horrific incident shows men in suits drinking and talking in the street when shots are fired, sending the crowd into panic.
About a dozen shots were fired, and a few seconds later a salvo of eight shots was heard.
Video footage shows police treating suited victims bleeding on the sidewalk as others quickly flee the scene.
According to Berkow, police officers were already at the scene when the shooting began, and none of them were injured.
“We're asking anyone who has video footage - and we know there is because we've seen it on social media - anyone who has video footage to let us know,” Berkow said. “Call 813-231-6130.”

At least one person involved in the shooting has surrendered to police, Berkow said, adding that at least one other shooter remains at large.
“We must bring those responsible to justice,” he said.
It is unknown whether those involved in the fight were in bars or clubs in the area before the shooting began.
