Earlier in the day, Karen Bocrat of Naples, Florida discovered that the front porch screen in her home had been torn apart.

"When a bear wants to cool off in a pool but can't open the screen door," she wrote on Facebook.

Karen said her pool deck was wet and she suspected it was a bear that had walked near her house the day before.

“In my opinion, it was a bear, but I couldn’t catch it in the act,” Bokrat noted.

But one day Bokrat finally managed to catch a club-footed criminal. She managed to photograph him just at the moment when the bear was resting in the pool.

“I’m having a pool party,” she wrote.

Now, she says, bear visits to the pool are frequent and she is "a little nervous at times."

Bokrat said her 6-year-old grandson is taking photographs of an unusual visitor.

“He shows them off and tells everyone it’s his grandma’s favorite bear,” Karen commented.

Bocrat confessed that she had not yet warned the wildlife authorities about her guest.

“I’m very afraid that they will put him to sleep. I live in an area that is completely undeveloped. Therefore, there are many forested areas and many bears in addition to other wild animals. My children say I live in a zoo,” she noted.
