In Florida, a big shark attacked a tourist: he was hospitalized
Tourist Nicolae Cioban, a 34-year-old man from Romania, was bitten by a "big shark" on January 8 while swimming off the coast of the Florida Keys last week. WFLA.

According to the Key West Police Department's incident report, the man was in the water near the Outer Mole of Fort Zachary Taylor National Park when he was bitten.

The report says he suffered lacerations to his thigh, knee and lower leg but was able to walk to the ambulance. According to the report, his injuries were not life-threatening.
Park rangers raised purple flags "informing visitors to exercise caution in and around the water" following the hiker's incident. It is reported that on January 13 the flags were still warning.
