US authorities offer freelancers $ 1000 financial assistance: how to get money

When times are tough, freelancers and independent contractors are usually left with nothing: traditional full-time employees usually have the right to unemployment insurance.

However, during a coronavirus pandemic, everything is different. Not only can these workers apply for unemployment benefits, but the US government also offers them additional financial assistance worth $ 1000.

According to CNBC, the economic shock loan program, known as an “advance,” allows freelancers and independent contractors, as well as individual entrepreneurs, to apply for a grant of $ 1000.

The grant is part of an effort to help small business owners. An economic shock loan program created by Congress under the CARES Act allows small business owners to apply for loans of up to $ 150.
