Vladimir Putin commented on the business interests of the Trump family in Russia

There have been no injections of funds associated with Russia into the ownership of US President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in an interview with the American television channel NBC.

“This is all nonsense. As far as I know, there were no injections into Trump's property in Russia. I don’t even know if such plans were serious,” Putin said.

The president also added that he was not acquainted with Trump before he decided to run for the presidency of the United States.

“Donald came here to Russia when he was not even a candidate yet. I didn't even know he was coming. That is, I found out about this in hindsight, they told me that he, it turns out, was in Russia,” explains the head of state. “What his son said about this, I also have no idea.” Look, I don't know what he said. Did he violate anything or not, Donald Trump's son? If he violated something, file a claim against him. And if he didn’t violate anything, why are you clinging to every word?”

Such a reaction followed the question of American journalists Megan Kelly about whether the words of the eldest son of the US President that his family is pouring big money into Russia correspond to reality.

“No, we didn’t know him. We never even talked to him - not on the phone, not in any way,” Putin added.
