Willy Tokarev immigrated to America more than 40 years ago.

For the first time on tour in the Union, he arrived in 1989. Alla Pugacheva helped him organize the tour. They talked a lot, although they did not succeed in further cooperation. That time he performed in different cities of the country, giving 70 concerts. The full house was repeated in 1990, and then in 2005. By this time, Willie knew everything, 24 of his album was on sale, a documentary about him and his life in the USA.

Having become popular in his homeland, the artist did not see the point of living abroad. He decided to come to Russia. Tokarev bought an apartment in the capital in the immediate vicinity of Kotelnicheskaya Embankment and settled on the third floor, his studio is located next to the house, where the artist's new songs are being recorded.

Now Tokarev lives in Moscow and in New York.
