Victor Topaller: Why Trump is great

Apparently, I must say a few words about the previous text. “Why Trump's meeting with Lavrov is a slap in America”. It seems that I involuntarily mislead readers, for which I apologize. Justification can only be that, as Zhvanetsky once said, “when a person is worried, he speaks quickly and stupidly.”

So here. I speak slowly. I am happy that Trump won. And to the best of his modest forces, he did everything for him to become President. I believe that Catherine Jacobsen from US News and World Report and Daniel Greenfield strongly overestimated my achievements when they wrote that I contributed to the victory of Trump on the "Russian street": this "street" is not a fool in itself ... But I will not lie: it's nice. If there is even a small amount of truth in it, I am proud.

Trump's victory is a miracle and the hope that America will finally come out of the disgusting swamp into which socialists of all stripes and liberal fascists have dragged her.

Trump is great. He holds the blow, although a real “crusade” is going against him. He tries to fulfill his promises and behaves like a decent person. Amba Paragraph. Point.

Only one BUT. With all this, I consider myself not only right, but also obligated to talk about what seems to me wrong in Trump’s actions. For me (unlike some) he is My President. And I am going to criticize him (and do it very harshly) in cases where it seems to me (I may be wrong!) this is necessary.

As, for example, in this case, since I continue to believe that it is a lot of honor for Lavrov to meet with the American President. It would be enough for Tillerson. And any too close rapprochement with today's Russia is fraught with serious and very negative consequences. Like this.

As one intelligent person said: “I’m not afraid to be misunderstood, I’m afraid to be misunderstood.” That is why I decided to put dots on "i".
